Information
Our accompanied matchmaking event brings potential founders together with their co-founders. We fill a limited number of places with ambitious founders, start-up teams and people interested in founding a company from various universities and research institutions. There is no age limit for this program. In various rounds, you will engage in interdisciplinary discussions, compare your ideas and skills with your chosen counterpart, develop perspectives – and perhaps lay the foundation for a successful start-up team.
Special Editions 2024
On 21 November 2024: As part of Female Entrepreneurship Week, there will also be a Female Entrepreneurship Edition of Meet&Match. Dear women – come up with your ideas. The stage is yours! Men are welcome to register in this round as atendees interested in founding a company without an idea of their own. Because the more diverse the teams, the better the outcome!
The registration deadline for this edition has already expired on 27.10.2024.
Special Editions 2025
On 6 February 2025, a Social Entrepreneurship Edition of Meet&Match will take place in cooperation with the Körber Start-Hub and the Hamburg Alliance for Social Entrepreneurship. Do you want to make the world a little better? Then bring your ideas.
It continues from 27 May 2025 with an AI edition together with the AI.STARTUP.HUB. Would you like to support an idea with artificial intelligence or pitch your own idea and find co-founders? We look forward to having you there.

Description
Be a crucial part of the matchmaking line-up and use our coaching for your next step!”Meet&Match” brings you together with potential co-founders in a multi-stage process:
- Phase 1: “Meet&Match” starts with a kick-off event where founders (teams) pitch their startup ideas. Afterwards, there will be a kind of “speed dating” in which founders (teams) and people interested in founding a company will have a first short exchange.
- Phase 2: Following the kick-off event, the aim is to get to know each other better on a personal level. This is about getting to know each other even better and seeing if the sympathy is right.
- Phase 3: If the chemistry between you is right, then it goes into the working phase. Here you can now check how you function as future colleagues in the team. To do this, you work on existing or fictitious problems and test what your collaboration would look like.
- Phase 4: Finally, you will address more sensitive topics, e.g., responsibilities, foundation shares, etc.
The team behind Meet&Match accompanies you during every phase, provides you with work and communication guidelines and mediates if things don’t go well. You can go through the phases with several people at the same time or simply register again for the next round of Meet&Match. If you successfully complete all phases, we call it a match. With this, you are ready to put your idea into action as a founding team.
Erfolgsstories
Don’t swipe, start
Oliver and Lars were there for the first run of “Meet&Match” and report on their experiences in our news.
“Just have a beer together!”
Bored in lockdown, playing around with lasers and suddenly you’re faced with your own start-up idea? This is roughly what happened to Johannes and Jan, the founders of the startup VLOUW. Read their success story to find out how Meet&Match enabled them to expand their team.
“We wanted to be a balanced team.”
What do you do when you have an almost revolutionary idea but no one to bring it to market with you? That’s right, you sign up for Meet&Match! Just like Felix, Lars and Caro from iPolis.
“No real life anymore!”
“We want to build something that lasts!” The two young founders Yolanda and Luca started their start-up ReDo with this dream in mind. Find out how Meet&Match has helped them in their success story.
A strong team is particularly important!
Get to know each other, match – and then still not found a company? At first glance, you might think that this sounds like the story of failed founders. However, Lars and Sepehr show the complete opposite.

Registration
Are you interested in “Meet&Match” and would like to get to know your future founding team? In several phases, we support the resulting teams with advice and assistance right up to their foundation. Registrations are possible at any time.
A kick-off event takes place at the start of each round. There you have the opportunity to get to know each other and exchange ideas. Potential founders pitch their ideas. The next step is to get to know each other and find out which idea might be of interest to which co-founder. Please indicate in the registration form which event you would like to attend.
We are particularly looking forward to receiving applications from people who are interested in setting up their own business but who can imagine using their skills to support a start-up project. Other exciting start-up ideas are of course still very welcome! In particular, we would also like to encourage women (FLINTA*) to apply in this format.
